As COVID-19 is impacting all of us around the world, we need to understand the facts and how we can take care of each other to remain safe during this challenging time. People need to understand that social distancing is our new norm and we have to listen to all the warnings advised to flatten the curve.

Facts: Covid Around the Globe

Symptoms & Testing

What to do if you are feeling sick?

Technology_COVIDThis is a moment in time we need to come together and collaborate while we are working at home or afar to protect one another. This is an opportunity for technology companies to empower the world with new tools and we may have to temporarily put profits aside so that we can make progress.  Professional conferences, schools, stores, restaurants, enterprise, personal businesses, and every sector are going to feel the effects of Covid-19. During this difficult time, our hospitals, pharmacies, and other government and public safety officials are essential in keeping all of their data secure for their success. Each day more events and places of gathering are being canceled, postponed, or rolled into online-only platforms. Many organizations will be quickly determining new ways to ramp up their businesses and create new services to connect with technology. Each will need a trusted and reliable resource to protect their data and seamlessly integrate new solutions. We are on the frontline to help our neighbors and each other to keep this country moving forward.

Although many of us are concerned, we need to focus on the positive aspects and recognize this opportunity to make improvements. New policies will be made, new technology will innovate, new precautions and procedures will be taken, people may come together and understand how important it is to care for one another. It’s not a time to be selfish or hoard things from others. We need to appreciate each other and the simple things in life for the greater good of all humanity.

Be safe. Be smart. Be well.

COVID-19: Be Safe. Be Smart. Be Patient Before You Become A Patient.

We talked about the threat but nobody did anything about it. Doctors warned us it could happen. Hollywood moguls made films about it. Bill Gates warned us. Terrorists threatened us. Yet, many turned a blind eye as with other disasters. It won’t ever happen. I was shocked that I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and I am a survivor. I pray it never happens again.

We’ve seen on a smaller scale germ warfare and people suffer other illnesses but some turn a blind eye. It won’t happen to me. This is serious and scary. I hope this doesn’t become our new reality as a world. I certainly try to see the good that we will survive this as we have with other threats, disasters, and illnesses. Pray for treatments, recovery and a vaccine in this case.

New policies will be made, new technology will innovate, new precautions and procedures will be taken, people may come together and understand how important it is to care for one another, and people will have better hygiene. I hope and pray every day our loved ones and friends stay safe.

It’s nothing personal and people need to be understanding at this time. I want to hug, kiss, cuddle, socialize and more, but if it is going to endanger my friends, loved ones, and the citizens of American, I’ll do my part to stay away unless necessary to go out. For my sanity, I will go outside and exercise. This new reality is very hard and depressing. Yet, this is a wake-up call for all of us to appreciate the simple things in life. It’s not a time to be selfish or hoard things from others. We are all used to getting what we want when we want it. It’s time now for us to be more patient before we become a patient.

We have technology in place to be virtual and nothing compares more than the ability for humans to connect. At this time, we need to be resourceful, help each other, and sing in harmony as they are in Italy across the street from their neighbors.

If one can’t understand my point of view, fears, and concerns than so be it. I may not be a doctor or a nurse, and I commend them for putting themselves and their families in the line of fire. We all need to do our part to show we care in whatever way we can. Be smart, be safe and be well!
